EL PASO – Firefighters are investigating the cause of a massive fire that broke out at an Eastside recycling plant Monday evening.
The fire started around 6:45 p.m. at Newell Recycling located at 6800 Market Ave. It took around 60 firefighters about 30 minutes to get the fire under control.
Firefighters were worried the flames would spread to Western Refining right next to the recycling plant.
Luckily firefighters kept that from happening.
No injuries were reported. The cause is still under investigation.
