Firefighters continue to battle a wildfire in the Lincoln National Forest.  The Curtis fire, as it is being called, has burned 200 acres and is 10-percent contained.

The Otero County Emergency Services is assisting two Forest Service Crews, and additional crews are expected to arrive Thursday.

Firefighters have managed to keep the fire from spreading across Highway 130 near Mayhill, New Mexico.  A previous closure along Highway 130 was lifted.

Cooper temperatures and a decrease in winds is expected to help firefighting efforts.

According to fire investigators, the blaze is human-caused.  It is currently under investigation.
