EPFD put the fire out at 8:53p.m. They said "crews remained on the scene overhauling the house and assisting with investigation."

Update:

The El Paso Fire Department (EPFD) said 12 units and 28 personnel were on the scene.

Two adults and 4 children were being medically evaluated.

The six patients all suffered from smoke inhalation, and two of the six had minor burns, said EPFD.

EPFD requested the Red Cross' help for the two adults and four children who were displaced.

Officials said two cars in the home's garage were engulfed in flames after a van from the engine compartment burst into flames.

 

Original Story:

The El Paso Fire Department said a fire broke out at a home on Lake Geneva Drive, near George Dieter and Pebble Hills after 7:30p.m. on Sunday.

According to officials, a car at the residence also caught fire.

At 8:45p.m., firefighters were working to put it out.
