SAN ELIZARIO - A family is homeless after fire gutted their home.
The blaze broke out last night at 760 Herring off Socorro Road.
Deputies arrived to find flames coming out the roof.
A 16 year old at the home said she noticed smoke and fire coming from a back bedroom. She immediately went to a neighbor's house and called 911.
Investigators say an electrical problem in a ceiling caused the fire.
The homeowners have no insurance. The home is a total loss.
The Red Cross is helping the family of five with living arrangements.
