Fire Forces Tenants From Home

When the fire broke out most of the tenants weren't home.
Those who were were startled by a banging on their door telling them to grab what they could and get out.
While firefighters feverishly worked to put out hot spots and get things under control.
Authorities say a total of ten units were damaged by the blaze.
While only a couple units suffered heavy fire damage others were hit hard by smoke and water.
After being evacuated tenants were forced to wait in the parking lot.
Many had no idea what they'd be returning home to.
Alice Figueroa says she grabbed what she could, but getting to safety was the only thing on her mind.
Several tenants were allowed to return to their units to salvage what they could.
They however will have to find somewhere else to stay.
We're told the apartment comlex has offered to place them in other units.
Red Cross is helping tenants out with hotel rooms and other necessities.
