At approximately 9:01 p.m. Monday, fire crews were dispatched to a reported business fire at 424 Yarbrough Dr. Upon arrival, crews saw heavy black smoke coming from the end on the shopping center, Tigua Village II. Crews quickly saw the fire was coming from the Dona Esther Restaurant located in the shopping center. Seventeen units and 46 firefighters responded to the scene.

Fire investigators determined the fire originated in the kitchen area of the restaurant. The restaurant was closed at the time of the fire and no one was inside. The fire was contained to the restaurant but heavy to light smoke damage was reported in approximately six neighboring businesses. The businesses to the left and to the right of the restaurant did sustain water damage as well as smoke damage. No injuries were reported.
