The Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers to avoid using the Soladek vitamin solution, because it may contain dangerously high levels of vitamins.

The FDA said it has received seven reports of serious health problems among people who used the product; they reported vomiting, diarrhea, and kidney malfunction.

The agency also said it has received information showing that samples of Soladek contain unsafe levels of vitamins A and D. An overdose of either of those vitamins can cause fatigue, headache, anemia, birth defects and other problems.

The FDA urged consumers who have Soladek to stop using it immediately and contact their doctor if they are experiencing problems.
