The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a new report, saying that removing menthol from cigarettes would improve public health.

This is according to a report from the FDA's Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC).

The committee said it's plausible that adding menthol to cigarettes makes them more addictive and thus, harder to quit. The FDA also said that companies that sell menthol cigarettes target minorities and kids with their advertising.

While the report was critical of the practice of adding menthol to cigarettes, it didn't recommend that the FDA order cigarette companies to stop selling menthol products.

The report will now be reviewed by experts at the FDA Center for Tobacco Products.

The problem is not the menthol, it's the nicotine

Smoking IS a bad habit with or without menthol and with or without filter. I should know, I smoke. And it is extremely hard to quit anyway

So this is what you have been wasting your time on as FDA?

Instead of helping the E-cigerrette companies!

Yah FDA your really helping out aren't you or are you just getting kick backs from tobacco lobbyist.
