EL PASO - Someone out there is using the El Paso FBI's name to scam people out of money.

The FBI says someone is emailing people in Montana claiming to be agents from FBI El Paso. In the e-mail, the scammers claim they confiscated a box at the airport containing a large sum of money that was en route to the e-mail recipients address. They also demand a response back, and threaten the recipient with arrest.

FBI El Paso says this is a scam, and they are not behind the e-mail.
