These shots come to us from Antonio Gomez who got so close to the crash, he could feel the heat from the flames.

Karla Cerino, 25, was killed yesterday afternoon when her SUV blew a tire and caught fire at I-10 near the ASARCO exit.

She died saving her two children from the flames but tragically, she could not save herself.

Tonight, an interview with Cerino's family, who is beside itself with grief:

"no me esperaba esto... "
"I didn't see this coming."

'I didn't see this coming' says Leticia Cerino just one day after her daughter died in a fiery crashy along I-10.

The Mother was able to hand her two young children off to bystanders but was trapped under the SUV and could not save herself...
"My daughter was a great mother, where did she get the strength to to pull them out?"

Cerino's family gave us this recent picture of Cerino and her two children.

Priscilla, 8, is recovering from severe burns to her face and arms at a hospital in Houston.

Edgar, 4, is being treatred for less severe injuries in El Paso.

"She lost her life by saving them. That's how much she loved them. That's how much she really loved them."

This is Cerino's 17 year old Sister Arlet.

She says her sister just graduated from nursing school last month and was an amazing mother....

"She's a hero. She is a hero. Kai: That's how she'll be remembered? Yeah ... a big hero."

Arlet also told us her big sister was two months pregnant at the time of the crash...

"I still can't believe that she's dead."

And while dealing with an unimaginable loss, the Cerino family is also thankful.

Thankful to the strangers who came to the rescue and were there to help the Cerino's two children out of the burning SUV...

"Thank you so much, if you weren't there, they wouldn't have been saved."
