A horrible tragedy in east Juarez has the police and neighbors on alert.

The crime happened on Sunday morning when a family of 8 was murdered inside their house located just miles away of the Ysleta International Bridge, 3 of the victims were infants.

Earlier today Juarez Mayor Enrique Serrano and North Chihuahua Attorney General Enrique Villareal hosted a press conference to announce details of the ongoing investigation.
The autopsy revealed all of the victims were stabbed to death.

Juarez resident Federico Archuleta lives right behind the house he said what happened is unbelievable.

"They were good people and not conflictive, it's shocking its cruel I can't believe they did this to the little kids," Archuleta said.

"We can't understand such a hatred crime committed by a normal person this is a psychotic mind someone completely sick under the effects of drugs," Juarez Mayor Enrique Serrano said.

According to state authorities the or the killers entered the home with the victims knowledge, that's when they tied them, taped their mouths and stabbed them.

The victims of the massacre include a 4 and 6 year old girl, a 7 year old boy, 2 men and 2 female adults.

"We think the conflict was internal or with people that have a relationship with them we couldn't find any signs of a violent entry or that the killers enter without the victims knowledge," North Chihuahua State Attorney General Enrique Villareal said.

Preliminary results of the investigation indicate that the crime is probably a theft case because the killers used a home kitchen knife.

Police say one of the male victims was a car sales dealer and that criminals stole 3 vehicles.

"There's people that knew that he had money in the house we found that 3 cars were stolen we already found one," Villareal said.

Juarez city government is offering 300 thousand pesos as a reward for anyone who gives valuable information about the incident.

The only survivor of the massacre was a 3 month old baby. State authorities confirmed they will assist the family financially for the funeral expenses.
