Facebook bug may have compromised contact info of 6-million users
(NBC) — Officials with the social media giant Facebook said a bug may have inadvertantly compromised the contact information of six-million users.
Facebook officials said a bug may have allowed users' personal information, that was otherwise private, to be inadvertantly shared with other members.
Officials said the glitch allowed users to see the phone numbers and email addresses of individuals with whom they have some connection, but are not "friends."
The company said the bug was fixed within 24 hours and anyone who may have been affected by the bug will receive an email from Facebook.
