El Paso, TX — A local event celebrates a man's life and benefits a local charity.
Today, American Steel Motorcycle Club is hosting their inaugural car and motorcycle poker run, called Red's Run, in memory of Bruce Engels and his dog Red.
The motorcycle run and poker tournament benefit the Humane Society of El Paso.
Bruce Engels died in a motorcycle accident in 2010 the event is meant to celebrate two of his passions.

" Love animals, he got his dog Red from the Humane Society. Loved animals and he loved motorcycles so his life is a representation of that," said Engels family friend Shawn Blake.

Blake said that at least 400 people registered for today's event. The event starts at the humane society, makes a few stops along the way, and ends at Rockhouse Cockpit with food and live bands. It goes until 8 pm.
