EPWU will introduce a new public information campaign aimed at curbing illegal dumping at tomorrow’s Public Service Board meeting.

Illegally dumped items clog the stormwater system, which leads to flooding. Crews removed 70,000 tons of material and 4,300 tires from the system during the fiscal year ending Feb. 28, which cost ratepayers about $700,000.

The campaign explains the consequences of illegal dumping and urges people to report it through the dedicated telephone number 1-800-ID-FLOWS.

Here's list of places in El Paso people can drop off their trash for free.

Northeast: 4501 Hondo Pass

Central: 2492 Harrison
