El Paso Police say a teenager was arrested after trying to run from the scene of a double stabbing early Sunday morning.

The attack happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. at a home on the 5200 block of Harlan Drive, near Rushing Road in Northeast El Paso, according to investigators.

Police said officers were responding to the stabbing call when they noticed the teen running from the area. The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Juan Robles, had blood on his hands, according to investigators.

Officers said Robles got into an argument with people at the home after no one volunteered to give him a ride home. They said the fight escalated and Robles stabbed 28-year-old Eduard Andujo and 22-year-old Sergio Marquez. Neither man suffered life-threatening injuries, according to EPPD.

Marquez told police he did not wish to file charges, so Robles was booked into the El Paso County Jail on only one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond was set at $50,000.
