EPPD investigate westside shooting

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - El Paso police spent more than four hours investigating a shooting in West El Paso Thursday morning.

El Paso Fire Dispatch says one person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Police have yet to confirm any details on their investigation at this point.

Our reporter at the scene could see officers speaking with a man in the back of the police car, he was not handcuffed, and it's unclear what his involvement may be.

At 3:30 a.m. our reporter witnessed two police officers at the Valero Gas station adjacent to the scene appearing to take a man in custody. Our reporter spoke to the Valero clerk who says he saw two police officers enter the store around 3:30 a.m.  taking a man in handcuffs, with his face covered, to use the restroom. It is unclear if that alleged incident is related to the shooting investigation.

Police cleared the scene just before 6:30 a.m., removing a red Dodge pickup truck that was the focus of their investigation.

Details still very limited this is a developing story. We'll update you as police release confirmed information.
