EPPD identify victim of Northeast convenience store homicide

El Paso Police are asking anyone with information on a homicide in Northeast El Paso to call them immediately.

EPPD were called out to the Circle K parking lot, located at 10770 Dyer near Angora Loop around 2:35 a.m. Tuesday morning where the caller reported that someone had been stabbed in a fight.

Northeast Patrol responded to the scene and found 23-year-old Ian Jones laying in the parking lot.


 


El Paso EMS arrived to the scene and determined that Jones had no signs of life.

A second man is also being treated at University Medical Center for injuries sustained during the fight.

El Paso Crimes Against Persons Unit responded to the scene and are now investigating the incident. EPPD is currently questioning several people in connection with the incident.

Detectices are declining to release any additional information at this time, and will update as the investigation continues.
