El Paso Independent School district leaders planned on responding to the Texas Education Agency's decision to place the district on probation Tuesday evening.

During the board meeting, EPISD would be providing an update on the progress they've made.
As we reported, the state-appointed monitor Judy Castleberry was brought in to help correct issues within the district.

Major improvements are expected to take months.

I was hopeful that the district would act honorably when TEA decided to place the district on probation & actually sent a monitor to help the district get back to the busness of educating children. Unfortunately the district shattered that hope by first saying that they felt they did not merit probation & second by not allowing the monitor at one of their meetings. Why, cause their laywer said so. Well who is running the show? The district or their lawyer? Shenannigans is alive & well @ EPISD!!!
