E.P.I.S.D.'s board meeting was overflowing with concerned parents, teachers and students. One after another they took turns at the podium, demanding more evidence of the employees' involvement in the cheating scandal.

Some say this is a terrible time to make change, because these educators are in the middle of important assessments.

Standing for hours on her day off, Vianeysa Niego, came to support her former high school assistant principal, Dr. John Tanner.

"He always supported me by telling me you can do more," said Niego.

In order to make sure the fire code wasn't broken, fire marshals told attendees once they left they weren't allowed back into the building.

The turnout surprised many at the meeting.

"I honestly thought there weren't going to be very many people, but I came and I had to stand in line," Niego said.

"I think its cool that people in El Paso care enough to come support their administrators," said El Paso High School Senior, Aaron Harmon.

With their posters and matching shirts, they hoped their show of unity would make a difference. all of them hoping their show of unity would make a difference.

"Honestly I really hope it does, so that the board members can see all the people who came out here today and didn't have to support their principals and assistant principals," said Niego. "I just hope they see that a lot people care about them".

Some say all that effort is too little too late.

"The reaction has been a little bit too acute," said Franklin High School science teacher, Tommy Davis. "In general the community was not conscientious enough and in not being conscientious enough before there could be a little bit of an over reaction by the public".

Whether their show is tardy or not, these El Pasoans aren't letting their principals fall by the wayside.
