EL PASO - UTEP is getting $200,000 from El Paso Electric.

The funds will be presented to UTEP at the campus' Union complex plaza, at 10 a.m. today.

The money will be used to help a group of students enter a national solar building competition. The team includes students from the colleges of Engineering, Liberal Arts and Business Administration. They have two years to plan for the competition, for the 2013 U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathalon.
