Enfamil Makers Say Baby Formula is Safe
The makers of a baby formula suspected in a newborn's death said new tests show it's safe.
The baby was fed Enfamil formula; it's manufactured by Mead Johnson.
The company tested that specific batch of Enfamil before it was sold to consumers, and after the baby's death.
Mead Johnson said the newest tests showed no presence of the rare bacterium that killed the Missouri baby this month.
The company said it re-tested the product to reassure consumers that it's safe.
