Employee Reveals Sexual Work Description at Massage Parlor
EL PASO — An employee of Kyoto, a massage parlor in central El Paso, admitted to agents the services she was asked to perform for clients.
According to court documents, Soon Kim, 60, faced charges of 'coercion and enticement to transport illegal sexual activity' at her parlor, leading to her arrest last Wednesday. Investigators said she was recruiting prostitutes for her business, with concealed condoms in the workplace serving as evidence.
A woman standing outside the parlor during a raid last Wednesday explained her role at the place of business. An arrest affidavit read that the woman understood she would perform sex acts and engage in sexual intercourse. A short, tight dress was the required uniform.
According to Kim, the women working in her business were Korean, and not U.S. citizens. Her preliminary and detention hearing Oct. 23. If convicted, Kim faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.
