Emmy Nominations

Fox's "Glee" is among the top emmy nominated shows this season...

NBC -- The cast of the musical comedy "Glee" really had something to sing
about this morning as the show earned 19 Emmy nominations, including
best comedy series.

Series star Matthew Morrison also grabbed a best actor nomination and co-star Lea Michelle's up for best actress.

"Modern Family" is another first year contender for best comedy and
five of the show's stars earned acting nominations all in supporting categories.

Three-time best comedy winner "30 Rock" has a shot at number four. "The Office” is also in the hunt as are "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Nurse Jackie.”

In the drama realm, the defending champ "Mad Men" led the way once again. 17 nominations overall including best drama and series co-stars Jon Hamm and January Jones earned acting nominations.

The final season of "Lost" is also in the best drama chase as is the first season of "The Good Wife." “True Blood” is another first time nominee while veteran nominees "Breaking Bad" and "Dexter" round out the field.

And in the variety, music or comedy series category, "The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien" received a nomination, but the version with Jay Leno didn't.
