Emergency assistance registry open to vulnerable residents
El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — Those most vulnerable in a crisis can now register to get help.
The City of El Paso's Dept. of Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program, 2-1-1 Texas Rio Grande Region, and the El Paso City/County Office of Emergency Management are promoting the State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR).
Those with medical issues or transportation issues that prevent them from evacuating themselves in an emergency are being encouraged to register voluntarily.
