Embattled Police Officer Takes His Own Life

An embattled El Paso Police Officer has taken his own life just days before facing a judge.

Last November, Javier Alonzo was accused of assaulting a family member.
Weeks earlier, he was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman in west El Paso.

Alonzo was scheduled to appear in court this week.
