El Paso's unemployment rate drops
El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — More El Pasoans are finding work. According to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, the city's unemployment rate dropped slightly in June to 9.1 percent. The unemployment rate was 9.3 percent in May, and 9.5 in June of last year.
However, El Paso continues to have a higher unemployment rate than the rest of Texas at 6.5 percent and the nation at 7.6 percent.
