El Paso's Coney Island Hosts 1st Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest
EL PASO-- El Paso's Coney Island restaurant has created the T.E.A.L Fund for Hope and will host a hot dog eating contest this Sunday.
T.E.A.L, which stands for "Timely. Education. Awarenes. and Love." "focuses on TIMELY detection of ovarian cancer which is critical in helping women survive this very silent form of cancer."
The contest will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. at the Coney Island Restaurant located at 4224 N. Mesa Ste. D.
The entry fee is $20 and will feature male and female competing categories. There will be a final showdown for the winners in both competitions.
This contest is a fun only event. This is not for serious food eating competitors.
Each flight will consist of 4 hot dogs for consumption in a 3 minute time frame.
