FDN is a technique to treat the neuromuscular system based on pain patterns, limited mobility, weakness, muscular imbalance, orthopedic signs, symptoms, and functional limitations and is now used by physical therapists at  the “Spine & Rehab Specialists” of El Paso.

FDN involves inserting a small neddle into the muscle in the area of the body, which produces pain and typically contains a trigger point. FDN is not acupuncture. Acupunture is based on restoring flow energy ("chi") along meridians in the body.

According to Harry Koster, Physical Therapist at El Paso Spine & Rehab Specialists, the advantages over other techniques is that it can treat parts of the musculoskeletal complex and deeper layers of muscles which our hands and fingers cannot reach. This method can produce quicker results.
