El Pasoans compete in Senior Games
EL PASO (KTSM) — For the 32nd year in a row, El Paso seniors gathered to take part in the Senior Games.
From track and field to swimming, El Pasoans ages 50 and older put their skills to the test in the Olympic style games.
Organizers said if they can do it, anyone can.
"We’re trying to motivate the young ones to come because eventually we're going to be there and continue with your stronger body and be able to have a quality of life this is the only way through nutrition and exercise," said David Lopez.
The Senior Games will continue for the next twelve weeks, culminating with an awards banquet on May 14.
