EL PASO - Special honors go out to an El Paso veteran.

Jose Hernandez received the Patriot Award today.

Rep. Silvestre Reyes (D) El Paso presented the award to the 30-year Army veteran.

Hernandez served in Europe, the Pacific and Southeast Asia from 1961 to 1991.

He has already received the Legion of Merit, The Bronze Star and the Meritorious Medal.
