El Paso Zoo Wants Funding From Quality of Life Bond Election
EL PASO - Who doesn't love going to the zoo? We have a zoo in South El Paso, and zookeepers want to keep it well-maintained.
However, they need money to do that. With the possibility of another quality of life election later this year, folks at the El Paso Zoo want to make sure they're facility is included in the measure. The bond issue usually provides money for community-based projects, and the El Paso Zoo needs cash for improvements.
"...there are some of these old exhibits that were built in the 1950s that we want to upgrade. We want to bring in new animals,” said Renee Neuert, from the El Paso Zoological Society.
As of now, we don't know if a quality of life bond will be on the ballot in November.
