El Paso - A record is on the line tomorrow at Franklin High School.

Students hope to shatter their old record of donating 400 units of blood in one day.

United Blood Services set up its mobile unit at Franklin today.

Organizers say 300 students signed up to donate because for them it's personal...

"The kids have really understood the importance of giving back to this community. It really does save lives. Over the past years we've had three students close to us die of cancer so it does kind of tug at the heartstrings a little bit. It hits close to home."

Franklin High is #1 in the nation for schools that donate the most blood with United Blood Services.
