El Paso police canine passes away at the age of 14

El Paso, TX — One of the El Paso police department's finest canines has passed away. Toby, a the nobel labrador, worked in the police department's narcotics task force division for six and a half years, until he retired in 2006. The dog confiscated more than 25,000 pounds of pot, seventeen pounds of cocaine and nearly seventy pounds of steroids. The dog also removed $1,132 worth of illegal money off the streets of El Paso. Toby died on New Year's Day at the age of fourteen, he would have turned fifteen next month.
