El Paso Museum of Art showcases SISD students' work

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - For the first time in the 59-year history of the El Paso Museum of Art, student artwork is now on display.

The museum debuted Socorro ISD's Student Art Showcase on Saturday, which features works from 27 students attending Americas, Eastlake, El Dorado, Montwood, Pebble Hills and Socorro high schools.

"It's a real world opportunity for our students", SISD Visual Arts Specialist Macka Jones tells KTSM. "We're always looking for different ways to showcase our students' talents, and this is one of the best ways we could possibly do it."

The Student Art Showcase will be on display at the El Paso Museum of Art for a week.
