It was 1989 and Oscar Vargas was fresh out of dental school. His favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers, was playing in the Super Bowl.

As he left the game, Vargas shared his cab with an elderly couple.

"I just happened to be at the right place at the right time," Vargas said "I gave them a ride without knowing them and they happened to be part owners of the San Diego chargers".

Since then, that couple, who he shared a cab with gave him Super Bowl tickets almost every year.

"It just came about me so fast that I look back 25 years ago and I would never imagine that I would continue going to every Super Bowl after that," Vargas said.

Vargas dedicates an entire room in his house to his Super Bowl treasures, souvenirs he's acquired at each game.

" I never thought of going to so many Super Bowls," Vargas said. "Every year I keep saying its my last one".

This 25th year marks both a milestone and a sad date. The elderly man who shared his tickets and experiences with Vargas, died in September.

"I could never thank them enough ".
