El Paso man arrested for firing gun in Union Plaza Entertainment District

Police arrested Gregory Moore, 25, for allegedly firing a gun into the air in Downtown El Paso.

It happened at 2:22 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Durango St. and Franklin Ave. in the Union Plaza Entertainment District.

According to El Paso Police, Moore fired a handgun three times, got into an SUV driven by Carllie Paul, 26, then fired two more shots from an open window. 

No one was injured.

Moore was charged with discharging a firearm in certain municipalities and unlawful carrying of a weapon.  Paul was charged with failure to yield the right of way to pedestrians in a crosswalk.
