El Paso Host Bowling Tournament
It's the largest women's bowling tournament in the world and it's being hosted right here in El Paso. Over 30,000 competitors will be coming in and out of El Paso over the next four months.
The event kicked off with former El Paso Mayor Susie Azar throwing the first ball. Not long after that, the bowling began. The El Paso Convention Center was turned into a 48-lane bowling alley. Groups of ladies will come in every few days to compete. These women are from all 50 states and foreign countries.
The top prizes will be in the neighborhood of $5,000. This tournament will be great for El Paso's economy.
