EL PASO - If you rely on Medicaid, you may soon feel the pinch of state budget cuts.

University Medical Center says those cuts could affect 114,000 El Pasoans.

State lawmakers are proposing a 10 percent cut in Medicaid reimbursement rates.

"Tens of thousands depend on University Medical Center for their care," says UMC's Jim Valenti. "What will become of them if we're forced to eliminate programs and services?"
