El Paso Electric Shows Support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — El Paso Electric is showing its support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by displaying pink ribbons on its bucket trucks and other work vehicles.
The idea began with two breast cancer survivors in EPE’s Customer Care department and it soon gained support from various areas of the company.
More than 175 pink bows were created for EPE vehicles as part of EPE’s Power of Pink campaign.
The bows recognize those individuals fighting breast cancer, honor those who have died due to the disease and help encourage prevention in the community.
“Many of our employees and their loved ones have been impacted by this disease,” said Tom Shockley, Chief Executive Officer at El Paso Electric. “El Paso Electric is proud to promote awareness and support the fight against breast cancer.”
According to the National Cancer Institute, breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women.
