El Paso Electric to Deploy Crews to East Coast

Millions of East Coast residents are without power as Hurricane Sandy barrels through the area. East Coast power companies have called out for help and the El Paso Electric Company is stepping up their efforts to help out those effected by the hurricane.

El Paso Electric has confirmed they will send at least 3 crews to the North East to help restore power along that part of the country. They'll join power company crews from Houston who will be making their way to Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Electric crews from Dallas and Miami will also make their way to the East coast, the storm has already left more than 5 million people without power. 17 El Paso electric workers are scheduled to begin leaving Wednesday morning and they'll take bucket trucks, boom trucks, and other equipment with them.
