El Paso County Sheriff's Animal Control Officer was called to the 15400 block of Buckwheat at about 9:05 am on Monday morning where a lost horse was found by “Horses Unlimited Horse Rescue.”

Rescue owner Victoria Hall told deputies that on Saturday around 2:30 p.m. she corralled a loose horse that was seen wondering for days. Deputies said Hall put the horse on her property in a horse stall.

The horse is a young brown Palomino stud 3 to 4 years of age with old scars on its body.

As we reported in our Special Report, The Pricey Pony, many horses are sometimes abandoned in the county by owners who can no longer afford their horses. There is no indication in this case that the horse was abandoned and the Sheriff's Office is actively seeking the owner of the horse.

If anyone has information on this horse, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 915-546-2280.
