El Paso County no longer in drought
Austin, Texas (KTSM) — Recent rains are helping turn Texas' drought woes around. Roughly half the state is now in a drought, but that's a huge improvement from just four months ago when more than 75 percent of the state was experiencing drought conditions.
Much of the state has received near to above normal rainfall over last four months. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, El Paso County is one of more than two dozen counties across the state no longer experiencing any drought at all.
