El Paso County Commissioners considering cost-cutting study for Downtown jail
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — El Paso County Commissioners are considering a cost-benefit study for the downtown jail annex.
Monday morning, commissioners heard presentations from five different firms. It costs approximately $96 per day to house an inmate at the downtown facility compared to $71 at the Far East Annex, according to County Officials.
