The El Paso Convention and Visitors Bureau General Manager, Bill Blaziek has received the Texas Mountain Trail Organization’s Hospitality Heroes Award.  Each year, the Hospitality Heroes Award is given to one or two individuals and/or organizations that go above and beyond what is expected in the tourism and hospitality industry.

“We couldn’t be happier to present this award to Bill Blaziek for his steadfast and continued support of the Texas Mountain Trail Organization,” said Director, Beth Nobles.  “We are forever grateful for his (and the El Paso Convention and Visitors Bureau’s) support of the development of regional tourism products, as it helps everyone involved save resources and time while encouraging tourism to Far West Texas.”

The Texas Mountain Trail Organization is in the business of supporting and promoting travel to Far West Texas, with an eye to creating lasting experiences for visitors.  The Hospitality Heroes Award began in 2010 and was first awarded to Ralph Gilmore, a coffee shop owner in Van Horn, Texas for his friendliness and hospitality to visitors and residents.   The award has since been presented to:

• Big Bend Ranch State Park (2010-2011)
• Marfa Public Radio (2011)
• Representative Dee Margo (2011)
• Hyatt Place Hotel in El Paso (2012)
• Town of Van Horn (2013)
