El Paso City Council meets Monday, not Tuesday
EL PASO — If you planning to attend next week's El Paso City Council meeting, you better take note: the meeting is scheduled for Monday at 9 a.m.
City Council has a full agenda to cover including the presentation of different ordinances and the presentation and overview of the Ad Hoc City Charter Advisory Committee’s recommendations of proposed City Charter amendments.
Other items of note are as follows:
Discussion and action on a Resolution that the City Manager be authorized to sign a Landscape Maintenance Agreement between the City of El Paso and the State of Texas acting by and through the Texas Department of Transportation, for the installation by the State and the maintenance by the City of landscape improvements for 18 medians on Dyer Street, between US 54 and Hondo Pass Avenue. (Districts 2 and 4)
Discussion on recent lobbying efforts by the County to force the City to annex county land contrary to the City’s annexation policies and procedures.
Discussion and action regarding waiving the attorney client privilege and make the ASARCO opinion public.
