El Paso City Council to Hold Town Hall Meetings to Address New Baseball Stadium
El Paso City Council members will hold Town Hall meetings for the public Thursday, August 23 to address questions regarding the potential new baseball stadium in downtown El Paso. The City Council members believe everybody in entitled to an opinion on the ballpark issue but everybody’s opinion should be based on facts and not misinformation. For that reason, they are going out to the community to do the town halls.
The schedule for today is as follows:
Eastside/Mission Valley – Mission Valley Regional Command (9011 Escobar), Michael Noe and Steve Ortega with Darren Hunt moderating
Central/Northeast – Nolan Richardson Recreation Center (4435 Maxwell), Susie Byrd with Duke Keith moderating
Westside/Upper Valley – Westside Regional Command (4801 Osborne), Courtney Niland with Beau Bagley moderating
The town halls will begin promptly at 7 p.m. and will finish at 8 p.m. The schedule is as follows:
• 7:00 – 7:05 – moderator thanks attendees for showing up and lets the audience know that there will be a presentation by the councilmember(s) and that questions will be taken by the councilmember(s) after the presentation.
• 7:05 – 7:35 – uninterrupted presentation by councilmember(s)
• 7:35 – 8:00 – audience question/answer to be conducted by moderator
