EL PASO-- An El Dorado High School speech teacher and assistant football coach was arrested by El Paso police for possession of marijuana.

34-year-old Darius Enrique Ellison, of the 14000 block Pacific Point, was arrested and charged on Tuesday, after police found 49 bundles of marijuana.

Police say Ellison was stopped after he was seen by police committing several traffic violations.

After an investigation, police learned that Ellison had two boxes on the back seat of his 2006 Lexus. Inside of those boxes were 39 wrapped bundles of marijuana.

10 more bundles were found at Ellison's home.

Ellison was booked into the El Paso County jail for possession of marijuana. His bonds totaled $20,000.

Mr. Ellison was a respected member of the faculty, and one of my favorite instructors when I attended El Doraro; People make bad decisions, accept who he is and the choices he's made, we all have our demons. They all catch up with us eventually.

Bro You just f$&@ your life for the love of easy money.

There is nothing easy for the victims, when you peddle poison, which is what marijuana is. Even if it were legalized it would only lead to the use and abuse of more dangerous drugs. Marijuana is a gateway drug. This guy made his choice to peddle drugs. The amount that was found in his car is an amount that only a pusher would have. I hope the school district wises up and fires this pusher so he can no longer get a job with any other school. This is nothing to joke about.

Fire the guy imediately!!! This person should be used as an example of what happens to adults in the "real worl" if they consume and or distribute drugs. Any other punishment would only encourage this behavior.
