LAS CRUCES, N.M. — El Caldito Soup Kitchen helped feed dozens of people in need in Las Cruces Tuesday afternoon.
With it being the holidays, volunteers helped serve a wide variety of dishes ranging from soups, chicken and some tasty deserts.
"If it wasn't for the blessings here and across the street, I don't know what anyone would do," said Dorothy Stanley, who received a meal Christmas Eve.
El Calidito operates year-round with donations and help from volunteers.
The kitchen feeds area homeless and anybody in need on a daily basis near Camp Hope and the Gospel Rescue Mission.
"These people are hungry every day and we're here to serve them and feed them and get them full," said Manager Yolanda Dimas.
Dimas said the kitchen would be open Christmas Day at about noon for anybody needing a warm meal.
