Early Voting Ends Today

Today is the last day of early voting for the state's upcoming election. There are no races on the ballot, but there are eleven proposed constitutional amendments. The issue with the most impact on El Pasoans is Proposition 4. If passed, it would set up a fund to help universities like UTEP achieve a national reputation as a major research center. Another amendment would bar governments from taking private property to increase their tax base. The election is November 3.
