Last Day To Vote Before Saturday's Election

Today is the last day for early voting throughout the Borderland.

Some races have already been decided but there are still a few up in the air, like the race for Mayor of El Paso.

Most pollsters say incumbent John Cook is the overwhelming favorite to get the most votes. However, it's unclear if he can secure over 50 percent of the vote to avoid a runoff.

The other major item on the agenda for voters will be the fight over Stormwater Fees.

Over a year ago, City Council voted to give responsibility for flood control to the Public Service Board, giving them the power to set rates and collect fees.

However, a recent poll by our partners at the El Paso Times finds more voters want the PSB to continue managing El Paso's flood control programs.

Mayoral races in Horizon City, Clint and Anthony, as well as four seats on the El Paso City Council are also up for grabs.

All polling places will be open from 7 am to 7 pm.
